Commissioned portrait drawings capture a single subject's portrait from the shoulders up in soft, atmospheric graphite.

Drawn in graphite on luxurious Arches drawing paper, each custom portrait drawing is created using the finest archival materials and coated with a protective fixative before it arrives to you. Drawings are unframed, and sizes range from 6x8" - 11x14".

Investment begins at $420.

Reservations are limited.

THE PORTRAIT PROCESS

Process Details:

1) Portrait Discussion

After reserving your portrait commission, I will email you to confirm the portrait’s size, discuss reference images, and finalize the project details.

2) Reference Images

If you (or your sitter) are local to the Boston, MA area, we may arrange a short photoshoot to create the perfect reference images.

If distance separates us, we will thoughtfully review your existing photographs or collaborate on guidance for new images to be taken. Whichever path we choose, I’ll try my best ensure your final reference meets the artistic standards essential for a timeless portrait.

*Each piece I create is a reflection of my artistic style and standards. If the provided photos aren't suitable, I reserve the right to decline the project. Should this occur, I'll inform you promptly and issue a full refund.

3) Creating the Portrait

Once the details are finalized, I will begin the full drawing. This stage generally requires 4 weeks - 6 weeks, depending on complexity.

4) Fine Tuning & Review

As the portrait nears completion, you will have the opportunity to review the piece. Minor refinements may be made to ensure your vision is fully realized.

5) Completion & Delivery

Upon your final approval, you will be sent an invoice for the remaining balance. Once paid, your drawing will be carefully packaged and shipped out to you!
